Operating principle of ball grid ruler

SPHEROTECH mainly consists of two parts, the ruler body and the reading head.

The ruler body is made of stainless steel, and the conduit is filled with specially treated steel balls. Each of these steel balls has undergone multiple layers of processing and treatment, and is loaded into the conduit in a tightly controlled environment before being sealed.

The reading head is made up of 6 sets of coils wrapped around a fiber spool. Each coil has excitation and reception functions, and is sealed inside the reading head, completely isolating the damage of coolant, oil, dust, and iron filings. When current passes through the coil, electromagnetic activity is generated, causing different feedback from each steel ball due to different cross-sections. At this time, the cutting coil inside the reading head detects these different feedbacks and cuts the corresponding output signal when the reading head moves along the ruler.
